Note to self: Shame that I haven’t got around to post anything recently on my blog.. First of all, because I lost the password, clever as I am.. (I swear to a goat, it was stolen by unknown forces O.O) Second of all, because I’ve been busy.. doing shit I couldn’t care less about.. (not true.. completely) I’ve been sick, food poisoning.. It’s a lot of fun! ..also if the only contestants are me and my buddy : — P He just got a new laptop, so we hocked it up at my other desk and pauw!!, we could play LAN together.. Right now we’re doing Age of Mythology (T), seeking to improve in it xD Right now we’re able to take on one moderate enemy.. working together : – P Next step is to take two..

Age of Mythology is a nice, well thought through. Genre’s RTS. Interesting god powers given, interesting units.. Okay, maybe there could be some more god powers, but it’s okay I guess with four

I also installed Age of Empires III, which I’m not gonna play anytime soon due to: 1. It’s weird.. What are these cards? 2. The graphics are freaking weird. The graphics actually freaks me out.. can’t concentrate, uh-uh.. So, AoM it’ll be..
I’m on the look for other good strategy games, but so far the only one I could find which seemed decent was Company of Heroes, and even that looks a bit funny..

The kind of strategy I like is the one that doesn’t only involve killing and producing large armies.. And sadly most RTS are just about that.. Not really being an RTS, what I loved about Transport Tycoon Deluxe / OpenTTD is how economy and budget has been incorporated into the gameplay.. Civilization 4 wasn’t my cup of tea either..

Getting new computer for Christmas.. It’s gonna be S-W-E-E-T!

I liked Valkyrie too.. As good as any good movie – (Spoiler Alert;)

I was left quite interested in the subject since I’ve never heard any mention of this in my history classes (Which is pretty suspect, long live our broken educational system!). So I looked it up on wiki (the actual 20 July plot article), which confirmed what had happened in the film – That the briefcase with the explosives meant to take out hitler, fell with a little push from an officers foot, it was then rearranged on the other side of a huge table leg, providing enough cover for Hitler against the blast to not die. It’s funny, interesting, ironic..! How such tiny “events” like that, would have an impact on History of mankind. If the officers foot hadn’t touched the briefcase with the bomb, hadn’t made that tiny movement and pushed it.. and if it hadn’t been put up again on the OTHER side of the table leg… Hitler would have been dead, the operation succeded, Germany would have engaged in peace negotiations with England and the Soviets.. yeah, you get the picture.. Then the cold war would probably never had happened which means that the production and development never would have been speeded up that much.. Christ, now I’m obsessed with the though. It’s like saying it could be within some cats grasp to do so that the earth would get destroyed.. One.. freaking.. cat.. God, now I can’t think about anything else xD I’m gonna have a hard time sleepng tonight trying to count sheeps.. All this just makes the fate and course of the whole world so.. relative.. I’m not feeling too well right now

Anyhow, yesterday the most wicked thing happened.. It was like, taken out from a Comedy Film. I mean, really.. It felt like god was mocking me. So, I’m sitting in my couch with a huge glass of milk waiting for the time to be time where I’m off to Roleplay/Vampire session. So, I rest the huge glass in between my laps so it doesn’t tip.. Then I recieve a message from Thomas, I turn around for my cellphone and wooops.. Milk all over me.. Fuck.. Reading the sms saying that we can just come earlier I rush out to the bath, takes my cloth off, goes underneath the shower, turns on the hot water and.. It’s cold.. IT’S COLD!!? WTF’s with that, I don’t remember any notes saying they’d turn it off.. So I’m kind of getting this feeling that god is mocking me or something, laughing his ass half off up in heaven. Anyhow, desperate for hot water to shower in, an idea hits me. Some 15 minutes earlier I boiled some water for tea that I didn’t use. I took that water, mixed it with boiled water for that morning breakfast and poured it over me while turning a bit on for the cold one.. Brrr.. Wicked..

Today I aslo saw this new film called “My Suicide”.. I’m not gonna talk about it, but damn it was wicked.. A mu.. well.. see it!

You know, when you’ve gotten a new CD album, you put it in the stereo and listen to the tracks and you just skip some of them automaticly because they sounds wierd? But then later on, you’re doing a bit of exploring and finds out that you actually like lots of the numbers.. That wasn’t really the case here, but.. ; San Jacinto – Peter Gabriel. Found it the day before yesterday while my MP3 was connected to the speakers. It’s pretty good. You have this keyboard playing with this, sort of tropical sound to it, instrument bank sound, and it just continues thru the whole song. The verse is pretty constant, and then right before the Chorus it sort of breaks off and other sounds comes on. Then when you think it’s done, it starts again, but as if it was another number.. Other sounds, other pace and rhythm. Sorta like a D Verse?;

We’re learning our childrens about how boy’s a boy and girl’s a girl, we’re learning them about the girl-princess steriotype, hell when I get the birthday invitation from my little 3 year old cousin she’s in a princess dress and she’s also deciphered like that in the invitation. “We want a boy colour, right Johan? (my other cousin)”, “eiiik! Pink’s a girls colour”. What kind of fucked up world are we living in.. And Disney Channel leaves them with those attitudes to life. Hannah Montana is suddenly some little girls big idol, but what the fuck did Hannah Montana do for the world that I didn’t that makes her deserve this fame? Nothing..

Luckly I can live with them raping Mickey.. but when they molest my good old Pooh-bear, they piss me off good..

Anyhow, this is really not what this post is about. All that text was just a prelude.. Clever me, eh? : P Here the other day we had a Vampire:TR session, and some few sentences which weren’t intended to be funny at all was said, and I though I would share them! (Warning: All this seemed exstremely funny at that time, this stuff is also translated as good as I the differences of the languages allowed me to, people laugh at different things, and well.. You should’ve probably have been there xD

I can’t remember in what context this one was, but somebody had done or said something stupid in game, and I replied to that person:
“errare humanum est”. Now that just cracked us up seeing as we’re all undead.. Human may not be the word xD

Now, we had been up for a long time and the night was coming to an end, the sunrise just around the corner. So, one of the players said “It’s getting late”. 4.3 seconds of silence before we all breaked out in complete laugher, stating “It IS late.. We’re the predators of the NIGHT, remember?”. Not so funny, but it just cracked me up xD

Now, it was getting late in the real world too and our storyteller, Thomas, was becoming very tired, not sure whether to continue the roleplay or not. Anyhow, I stated how tired he looked by saying: “How dead you look” (sounds more right in danish), and again, I laughed because – Well, in-game I was talking to the prince, and he’s pretty (un)dead xD Then Thomas commented something like “Be your character dead”.

Oh well.. That’s all wicked for today (<- I hate auto-generated smilies.. This one was just supposed to be like, : P.. Bdr.. )

Guess that it’s.. for today..

Here the other day I saw Mississippi Burning for my first time, and knew by then that if Terry O’Quinn weren’t the one to play Locke, it should have been Gene Hackman. He has the look, he has the same way of laughing, he has the temper. Only, he’s too old by now

Anyhow, I’m starting to get D&D abstinences.. Not healthy. Sometimes I play with Thomas’ big brother and his friends and it’s equally fun every time. Sadly no one in my age plays D&D, at least no one who’s to find. Maybe they just haven’t sprung out of the closet yet. Wonder if they’ll come later. If not, I’ll make it my own personal life mission to spread the words of Dungeons and Dragons. At least.. what concerns everything from 3P and below.. Yes, I don’t feel like buying 4e. And who had just converted from 3.0 to 3.5, jeez. I guess there wouldn’t be much point in spreading the words of 3.5 if they can’t but the damn books from a local hobby shop. You know, I have Expeditions to the Ruins of Greyhawk, but no one to play it with. I mean, could things suck more?.. Maybe I’ll just play it with my cats, yea! That’s what I’m gonna do!.. Two sec.. *leaves keyboard*.. Yah! They said “maaeeh”, and I’m pretty sure that’s cattish for “Yes, we would love to our beloved family member!”.. That or it meant “we’re fucking starving to death, what the fuck are you people waiting for, the royal family!?, give us some fucking food!”.. Hm.. Don’t know which one though.. I’m gonna go with the “yes”, I’m pretty confident.
Animals talking is like when Asian people talk, just the opposite. Where the Asians may say about 56 words in one sentence, where when translated to English all it meant was, “lean a little to the left”, animals says one or two words and when translated means “Gimme some food you ugly giant big eyed monkey cannon or I’m gonna smash you up real bad! I’m starving!! Miaw..”. So interesting.. This makes me look at life with a whole new angel.. Never though about it like this before..

I’ve tried many times to write my own Scenarios or Campaign settings for Dungeons and Dragons, and everything seems to go very well until I have to grab that pencil and draw that map.. Uh-Uh, not me, not good at it. And without a map I just can’t keep proper track of things.
Thinking about installing OpenRPG again and try and find some roleplaying there. Maybe I could even test out the Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk campaign.
